  OUR GOAL

Flyingdoc remains committed to the principles of it's Mission . The two arms are : Sharing our Knowledge in Emergency Medicine /Critical Care/Trauma/Disaster Medicine/Ambulatory Medicine and Practise arm, with working side by side in Hospitals and Clinics of Flyingdoc India Trust Foundation with doctors and Nurses and Paramedical personnell and supplying much needed Medical Equipments.

The former is based on Teach-the-Trainor approach at Teaching Institutions as in Mumbai's K.E.M. Hospital/Seth G.S. Medical College and and other Major Teaching Institutions . The same is done in smaller Towns like Valsad and Kharel and Kaprada, in conjunction with the local Chapters of the Indian Medical Associations, as has been done in the past with IMA of Valsad, Surat,Ankleshwar , Bharuch and Bilimora.

The Practise arm deals with working and staying at the Hospitals, with which Flyingdoc has established relationships,as in Kharel Hospital(near Navsari on N.H. 8) and Kaprada Clinic and Hospital and Pardi Hospital's M.AS.K (Manav Arogya Seva Kendra), between Valsad and Nasik, in the rural and tribal belt.Such hospitals and Clinics are in need of the very fundamentals of medical equipments, which Flyingdoc provides from the US, carried by it's physicians and supporters.Flyingdoc has supported the hospitals with Respirators, Cardiac Monitors/Defibrillators, Pulse-ox meters, Surgical Eqmnts.,and emergency airway eqmnts. in the past. Visiting US Physicians and Nurses stay at the local rural Hopital on campus and work side-by-side with their Indian counterparts and dealing with Emergencies with staff physicians. This gives a first hand opportunity for seeing the spectrum of local medical and surgical pathology, within the constraints of available Lab/X-rays/Equipments of the hospital/clinic and an opportunity to make a difference.Such experience creates an atmosphere of comraderie and friendship, that lasts a Lifetime.

Established US Physicians and Interns from US as well as pre-medical and medical students of various US Universities , also take part in the program and learn to understand and appreciate the pracitse environment in small towns and villages.
We encourage you to participate with Flyingdoc and refer to the needs of Supplies below.
